Guide wire not followed

Guide wire not followed — Automower cannot find charging station via guide wire

husqvarna · Automower Technical Manual

What does Guide wire not followed mean?

The Automower is set to follow the guide wire on the left side towards the charging station but cannot detect the necessary loop signal strength for the set corridor width.

Common Causes

  • Automower does not find the strength on the loop signal that the set corridor width corresponds to.
  • Boundary wire to the left of the guide wire and the guide wire are routed too close together.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Reduce the corridor width until the Automower manages to follow the guide wire. Use the function 'Test IN'.

  2. 2

Increase the distance between the boundary wire to the left of the guide wire (seen in the direction towards the charging station) and the guide wire to at least 30 cm (12 inches).

  3. 3

Ensure the guide wire is securely connected to the charging station and free from damage.
