No contact in charging station — Mower not making proper charging connection

What does No contact in charging station mean?

The Automower is in the charging station but cannot establish proper contact for charging, possibly due to alignment issues, dirty contacts, or damaged cables.

Common Causes

  • Poor contact between charging strips and contact strips.
  • Charging station leans or charging plate is bent.
  • Poor contact between the charging cable’s cable lugs and the charging strips.
  • Poor contact between flat-pin connectors and charging station contact strips.
  • Charging cable connector on the chassis is defective.
  • Control box on the Automower is defective.

    Let the Automower dock itself by pressing 'Home' and check that the charging strips and contact strips make good contact.

  2. 2

    Check that the charging station does not lean and the charging plate is not bent.

  3. 3

    Check the charging current with the Quick check function (hold 0 key for 2 seconds).

  4. 4

    Check the charging cable’s cable lugs for corrosion and file off any found; replace the entire charging cable assembly if necessary.

  5. 5

    Lift the cover on the charging station, check the flat-pin connector connections, and change if defective.

  6. 6

    Check that the contact strips on the charging station are not jammed and clean any dirt. Lubricate with copper paste.
