End / Cooling down — Laundry is in cooling phase

Miele · Tumble Dryers

What does End / Cooling down mean?

This message appears at the end of a drying program, indicating that the laundry is currently undergoing a cooling-down phase. This helps prevent creasing and makes the laundry easier to handle.

Common Causes

  • Normal end-of-program phase to cool down laundry.
  • The anti-crease function may be active, continuing drum rotation during cooling.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Either remove the laundry from the dryer and spread it out to cool down further.

  2. 2

Or leave the laundry inside the tumble dryer to cool down during the ongoing cooling phase.

  3. 3

For best results and to minimize creasing, wait until the cooling phase is complete before removing laundry.
