Start/Stop button flashing slowly (after program end)

Start/Stop button flashing slowly, display off — End of programme energy saving

Miele · Tumble Dryers

What does Start/Stop button flashing slowly (after program end) mean?

Approximately 10 minutes after the drying programme has finished (or 15 minutes after the anti-crease phase concludes), the 'Start/Stop' button will begin to flash slowly, and the display will go out. This is a normal energy-saving feature.

Common Causes

  • The dryer has completed its programme and entered an energy-saving standby state.
  • The automatic switch-off function is active after a period of inactivity post-cycle.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

This is the normal energy-saving operation of the dryer after a cycle; no action is necessary if this is desired.

  2. 2

To use the dryer again, simply press the power button to switch it on or open the door.

  3. 3

To prevent the dryer from switching off completely, remove the laundry promptly after the 'Finish' message appears on the display.
