What does  and  alternate mean?

The fault indicator light ,  and  appear alternately on the time display, and the buzzer sounds. This indicates that the water protection system has reacted to a detected issue, often a leak or overflow.

• The washing machine's internal water protection system has detected an issue such as a leak or excessive water.
