When the outdoor unit failure mode recall function is active, the indoor unit's upper lamp blinks five times, then stays OFF for 2.5 seconds. This indicates that the nonvolatile memory data on the inverter P.C. board cannot be read properly.
Click steps to track your progress.
Ensure the failure mode recall function is active to observe the correct blinking pattern.
Turn off the power supply to the air conditioner, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on to attempt a reset.
If the error persists after a power cycle, the inverter P.C. board may need to be replaced.
Contact a qualified technician for further diagnosis and potential replacement.
After troubleshooting, recall the failure mode again and press the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch to delete the memorized abnormal condition.
Release the failure mode recall function by turning OFF and ON the power supply, or by pressing the RESET button on the remote controller.
