What does 9-time blink (recall mode) mean?

When the outdoor unit failure mode recall function is active, the indoor unit's upper lamp blinks nine times, then stays OFF for 2.5 seconds. This indicates that the nonvolatile memory data on the inverter P.C. board cannot be read properly.
