What does Outdoor Unit Water Leak mean?

Water is observed dripping or leaking from the outdoor unit, either from pipes or the unit's base.

Common Causes

  • During COOL and DRY operations, condensation forms on the chilled pipes or pipe connecting sections, causing water to drip.
  • In heating operation, water condensed on the outdoor heat exchanger drips down.
  • During heating, the defrosting operation melts ice formed on the outdoor unit, causing water to drip.
