Error E5 and Indoor Red LED flashes 2 times — Communication error during operation

What does E5 mean?

Normal communication between the indoor and outdoor units has been interrupted for more than 2 minutes while the unit is operating. This could be due to issues with wiring or temporary electrical noise.

Common Causes

  • Unit No. setting error (incorrect addressing)
  • Broken or faulty remote control wire or connection
  • Faulty outdoor unit control PCB
  • Temporary electrical noise interference

    Inspect the signal wire connections at the outdoor unit terminal block for any disconnections, looseness, or damage.

    If the issue was caused by temporary noise, the unit may return to normal operation after a power reset. Otherwise, professional inspection is recommended.
