E8 / 1 Red Flash - Heating overload operation

What does E8 / 1 Red Flash mean?

The remote control displays E8, and the indoor unit's red LED flashes once (while the green LED keeps flashing). This indicates the unit is experiencing an overload during heating operation, leading to abnormally high indoor heat exchanger temperatures.

• Heating over-load due to installation or operating conditions
• A short-circuit in the indoor heat exchanger temperature sensor
• Defective indoor unit control PCB
