The flow during defrosting is low. The display instructs to check the particle filter and pump. This hinders effective defrosting and can lead to ice build-up.

Common Causes

  • Clogged particle filter in the heating medium system.
  • Defective circulation pump (charge pump).
  • Pressure drop in the heating system is too large.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Switch off the Heat Pump's power. Carefully check and clean the particle filter in the heating medium system.

  2. 2

Verify that the circulation pump (charge pump) is operating correctly and not making unusual noises.

  3. 3

Ensure the system pressure is adequate and bleed the heating system to remove any trapped air.

  4. 4

If the problem persists, contact a qualified NIBE service technician to inspect the pump and system flow.
