E466 — DC LINK over-current / low-voltage error

Samsung · Air Conditioning

What does E466 mean?

This error indicates a problem with the DC Link, which manages the power supply to the air conditioning unit. It means there's either too much current or too low voltage detected.

Common Causes

  • Fault in the main input power supply (incorrect voltage or stability issue).
  • Loose or incorrect power connections, possibly with communication wires interchanged.
  • Problems with the reactor or its connecting wires.
  • Defective fuse on the EMI Printed Board Assembly (PBA).

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the main power connection to your air conditioning unit. Verify the input voltage meets requirements (e.g., 220Vac for single-phase, 380Vac for 3-phase).

  2. 2

Power off the unit at the main breaker, wait for a few minutes, then power it back on to see if the error clears.

  3. 3

Inspect all power wires and connections for tightness and correct joining. If multiple units are installed, ensure communication wires are not mixed with power connections.

  4. 4

Visually check the reactor and its connecting wires for any signs of damage, looseness, or improper connection to the Inverter PCB.

  5. 5

Examine the fuses on the EMI PBA for any signs of being blown or defective.

  6. 6

Ensure that all screws on the Terminal Block and Power Terminal Box are firmly fastened and wires are securely assembled.
