What does Safety Shutdown mean?

The Segway PT stops itself if it detects a system fault or critically low battery. It will shake the handlebar, make noises, flash balance lights, emit a tone, and show an unhappy face on the InfoKey display.

Common Causes

  • Critical battery level reached
  • Fault detected in a redundant system
