Stihl AP System
12 fault codes documented
1 LED flashes green — Battery charge is too low
The battery's charge level is critically low and needs to be recharged. The battery may not have enough power to operate the product.
1 LED steady red — Battery is too warm or too cold
The battery temperature is outside the optimal operating range. This can prevent the battery from functioning or charging properly.
2 lit green LEDs — Battery charge between 40% and 60%
This indicates the battery is in the optimal storage charge range. It is recommended to store the battery at this level for longevity.
3 LEDs flash red — Battery malfunction detected
An internal error or malfunction has been detected within the battery. The battery product may not operate or could shut down.
3 LEDs light up red — Battery product is too hot
The battery product itself has overheated, likely due to extended use or demanding conditions. This is a safety measure to prevent damage.
4 LEDs flash red — General battery error
A general error has occurred within the battery. This could be due to connection issues or a more significant internal fault.
Battery is damp — Allow battery and product to dry
Moisture has been detected on the battery or within the battery compartment, which can interfere with electrical connections and potentially cause damage.
Battery life exceeded — Replace the battery
The battery has reached the end of its expected lifespan and can no longer hold a sufficient charge or provide optimal performance. It needs to be replaced.
Battery not fully charged — Recharge the battery
The battery has insufficient charge to power the product for an adequate runtime. It needs to be fully recharged.
Bluetooth off — Activate Bluetooth on battery or device
The STIHL connected app cannot find the battery because the Bluetooth radio interface is deactivated on either the battery or the mobile device.
Excessive distance — Reduce distance between battery and mobile device
The mobile device is too far away from the battery for the Bluetooth connection to be maintained or established. The signal range is limited.
No electrical contact — Check battery and product connections
The battery is not making proper electrical contact with the battery product, preventing it from operating. This could be due to dirt or misalignment.
