Building Pressure Sensor Failure

Building Pressure Sensor Failure alarm

York · Smart Equipment Control

What does Building Pressure Sensor Failure mean?

This alarm occurs when the economizer module recognizes a building pressure input, but then loses that recognition. It can also happen if the pressure readings go outside the sensor's operating range.

Common Causes

  • Sensor reading is outside the expected range
  • No 24 VAC power to the sensor
  • Incorrect installation of sensor port tubes
  • Damaged wiring harness
  • Faulty sensor
  • Faulty SE-ECO1001 module

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the sensor reading via the Map Gateway tool ('Summary' > 'Power Exhaust' > 'Bldg Pres').

  2. 2

Verify that the sensor is receiving 24 VAC power. Check wiring and power source if not.

  3. 3

Ensure the sensor's high and low port tubes are correctly installed: high port in an area affected by building static pressure (not near vents), low port exposed only to atmospheric pressure.

  4. 4

Check if the sensor is outputting 0 VDC to 5 VDC to the SE-ECO1001 module. If voltage is present at the sensor but not reaching the module, check the wiring.

  5. 5

If the wiring harness is damaged, repair or replace it. If the harness and sensor are okay but no voltage is output, replace the sensor. If both are okay, replace the SE-ECO1001 board.
