What does Water Filter Alert mean?

The Water Filter indicator illuminates to inform you that the water filter has reached its service life. It needs to be replaced approximately every 6 months or after 120 gallons of water have been dispensed to maintain water quality.

  • Water filter has been in use for 6 months.
  • 120 gallons of water have been dispensed through the filter.

    Obtain a new replacement water filter specifically designed for your Frigidaire refrigerator model.

  2. 2

    Replace the old water filter following the instructions in the 'Replacing the Filter' section of your manual.

  3. 3

    After replacement, press and hold the 'Reset Water Filter' button for 3 seconds until a tone sounds, to reset the indicator.
