What does Alarm symbol flashing mean?

If the freezer temperature is not cold enough, an audible warning sounds and the Alarm symbol Fig. 3 (15) flashes. The freezer temperature display may also flash, or show flashing dashes if the temperature is above 32 °F (0 °C). This indicates a risk of food spoilage.

Common Causes

  • Hot fresh food was placed in the appliance.
  • Too much warm ambient air entered when opening the door.
  • Prolonged power outage.
  • Appliance is faulty.
