What does HO / PLEASE WAIT mean?

The remote controller continuously displays "HO" or "PLEASE WAIT" and the air conditioning unit does not operate. This message should typically clear within 5 minutes after the unit is powered on.

Common Causes

  • No power supplied to the M-NET transmission line
  • Short-circuited or incorrectly wired M-NET transmission line
  • Disconnected remote controller wires
  • Incorrect sub/main setting on the remote controller
  • Multiple main remote controllers connected
  • Faulty circuit board or remote controller

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

First, ensure the main power to the entire system has been on for at least 5 minutes.

  2. 2

Check the self-diagnosis LED for error code 7102, which would indicate a transmission line issue requiring specific troubleshooting.

  3. 3

Inspect all M-NET transmission line wiring for proper connection, ensuring no short circuits, disconnected wires, or incorrect wiring (e.g., reversed daisy-chain).

  4. 4

Verify the settings of your MA remote controller(s); ensure only one is set as "main" and others as "sub" if applicable.

  5. 5

A qualified technician should measure the voltage at the M-NET transmission line terminal block (TB5), which should be between DC 17-30V.

  6. 6

If wiring and settings are confirmed correct, the remote controller or its communication circuit on the main board might be faulty.
