Wi-Fi connect issue

Unable to connect to Wi-Fi

Zaptec · Go

What does Wi-Fi connect issue mean?

The Zaptec Go charger cannot establish a connection to your local Wi-Fi network. This can prevent app control and smart charging features.

Common Causes

  • Incorrect Wi-Fi network name (SSID) or password entered during setup.
  • The Wi-Fi access point is operating on the 5 GHz frequency band, which is not supported by Zaptec Go (only 2.4 GHz).
  • The Wi-Fi access point is using channels outside the 1 to 11 range, which might cause compatibility issues.
  • The Wi-Fi network's SSID is hidden (broadcast disabled).

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Double-check that the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password you entered are exactly correct.

  2. 2

Confirm your Wi-Fi access point is broadcasting on the 2.4 GHz frequency band and not exclusively on 5 GHz.

  3. 3

Ensure your Wi-Fi router is set to use channels between 1 and 11.

  4. 4

If your network's SSID is hidden, select 'Other' in the network list on the Zaptec App and manually enter the SSID and password.
